OBJECTIVE: In order to inform GV Students about the bystander effect, students will write an information featuring evidence from two informational videos.
INTRODUCTION
In our next unit, we are going to read informational texts in order to find the central idea and how the writer develops the central idea. Then after I teach you how to integrate quotes from an article into your own writing, you will write you own piece of informational text for GV teens about the selected issue for our unit.
INSTRUCTION
The BIG IDEA of today is that informational text is a text with the goal of providing information to its audience. Texts can be photographs, video, articles, essays, advertisements, or even art. Every text can provide us with EVIDENCE that we can use to make another audience aware of an issue.
