4. MODEL PARAGRAPH
Texting has become an efficient and popular mode of communication in our 21st century world. However, just because something seems easy doesn't mean that you can do it anywhere and everywhere. No one should text while driving, and passengers should be upstanders and prevent drivers from texting and driving. According to the "Stop the Texts, Stop the Wrecks" website, "a texting driver is 23 times more likely to get into an accident than a non-texting driver." Those are frightening odds. Consider the fact that if you text and drive, you could not only hurt yourself, but also hurt those around you. You could even hurt someone's mother. How could you live with yourself if you did that simply to send a text that said, "LOL"? Don't think that you can do both. The average time that a texter has eyes off the road is five seconds. ("Stop the Texts, Stop the Wrecks" It might not seem like a long time, but think about how far you travel in five seconds. Next time that you are in the car check it out. In conclusion, texting is simply not worth it. Concentrate on your driving and save a life.
